Our offering to Industry partners

The Alphega Pharmacy offering to industry has four main elements:

Distribution Development

Partnership with Alphega Pharmacy provides manufacturers with many opportunities to improve the profile and distribution of their products to a wide network of independent pharmacists. Through participation in purchase and distribution deals, manufacturers can opt to have their products placed on buying platforms which offer better conditions to pharmacist buyers and result in higher volumes of sales. Co-ordination with Alphega Pharmacy initiatives provides extra ways of increasing distribution, for example through listing and sales promotions or by arranging for automatic deliveries of products related to specific advisory campaigns.

European Monitoring

Alphega Pharmacy makes it possible for the capture of valuable qualitative and quantitative data in order to assess and refine product sales and performance on a Europe-wide scale. Selling products through the Alphega Pharmacy network enables the collation of market research information, including sell-in and sell-out data, which can be used in measuring and analysing products' sales performance. It also allows manufacturers to assess product side effects as well as observance patterns among groups of consumers, making it easier to monitor patient compliance.

Sell-out Drive

Alphega Pharmacy provides a high level of support to its member pharmacies in maximising the sell-out of products to patients and consumers. Services include advice aimed at improving category management and merchandising in order to encourage product sales. Coordinated promotional activities in support of this include thematic and prevention campaigns as well as a range of sell-out dynamisation schemes. These contribute to the promotion of specific products in line with the broader service and advisory objectives of pharmacists.

Brands Promotion & Compliance Programmes

A key aim of Alphega Pharmacy is to support its members in exceeding the healthcare expectations of its patients and consumers. Opportunities are available for manufacturers to raise their profile as experts in a disease area by sponsoring training and providing tools on pre-diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and patient compliance programmes. As well as encouraging sales, this helps improve pharmacists' competencies and knowledge of the product concerned. A Europe-wide e-learning programme is being developed in conjunction with manufacturers on key issues such as smoking cessation, weight management and diabetes.
