Alphega Pharmacy membership reaches 1,000

Alphega Pharmacy, the virtual pharmacy network of the Pharmaceutical Wholesale Division of Alliance Boots, Alliance Healthcare, is delighted to announce that following a recent recruitment campaign, membership has increased to more than 1,000 members across many countries.

Alphega Pharmacy is a leading network of independent pharmacists in Europe. Members retain their independence while enjoying the full support of the Alliance Healthcare businesses in their countries. Its central aim is to help improve the quality of health in communities across Europe by developing a benchmark independent community pharmacy model. Membership encompasses a range of added-value services including branding, professional training and patient care, retail support services, supply benefits and pharmacy support.

The network has already been launched in France (2001), Italy (2003), Spain (2006) and more recently in the UK and Czech Republic. It will be launched in Russia in the coming months.
