Widnes Pharmacy becomes latest independent to open its doors as an Alphega Pharmacy member
June 19, 2009Widnes Late Night Pharmacy is the latest independent to open its doors as a fully branded Alphega Pharmacy member.
The new pharmacy business, located at the Beaconsfield Primary Care Centre in Widnes, Cheshire, held its official opening on 10 June 2009. The event was attended by Mike Smith, Chairman of Alliance Healthcare Distribution as well as GPs and PCT representatives from the local area.
In addition to offering a range of NHS pharmacy services including blood pressure testing, smoking cessation and weight management, the pharmacy features a state of the art dispensing robot and is already receiving positive feedback from local patients.
Widnes Late Night Pharmacy is owned by husband and wife team Suk and Jackie Patel. Commenting on the opening Suk said: “Our state of the art facility - which includes the latest technology in the form of a dispensing robot - ensures that our patients receive a fast and efficient world class service every time they visit.”
Jackie added: “Our aim is to be a beacon for professional pharmacy and to provide first class pharmaceutical services to the whole community. We feel that with the help of the Alphega Pharmacy concept we cannot fail to reach our goals and be the pharmacy of choice within our local area.”
Mike Smith commented: “This is a very modern independent pharmacy located in the heart of the community, which is already providing a valuable service to the local population.
