Diabetes Campaign
Alphega Pharmacy’s current European thematic campaign focuses on Diabetes. The initiative, organised in partnership with LifeScan (A Johnson & Johnson company), has now been rolled out across the entire Alphega Pharmacy network. The main objectives of the campaign are to promote improved pre-diagnosis, preventative action and follow-up in helping patients and consumers with Diabetes.
In preparation for the campaign, a communications toolkit was provided to each Alphega Pharmacy member, including objectives and the campaign timeline as well as further details on LifeScan, the industry partner for the campaign.
As part of the programme, it is possible for participating pharmacies to book screening days for patients and consumers in their pharmacies. Consultant-led information evenings and training cd-roms have also been made available with the aim of providing pharmacy teams with valuable training resources to maximise operational skills in this area.
The Diabetes initiative is strongly supported by branded information materials (including targeted posters and counter displays adapted for use in the relevant countries). Together, the different elements of the campaign combine to provide a highly effective means of raising awareness and alerting patients to risks and remedies associated with Diabetes.
