General painkillers such as paracetamol and/or ibuprofen can help keep some types of pain under control. Ibuprofen is one of many drugs that are anti-inflammatory as well as pain relieving.
 
If, for whatever reason, you cannot take these painkillers, then a pain-relieving skin gel may provide focused relief. Some people respond to products that provide topical heat or ease pain by applying something cold. Ask your Pharmacist for advice.
 

Drug free treatment

Magnetic Therapy bracelets and bangles, which contain magnets, are an alternative way to ease pain. The bracelets produce a magnetic field that harmlessly penetrates skin tissues and bones, and can help with stimulating blood circulation.
