What is the Allergy Testing Service?
Our Allergy Screening Service allows you to understand if you have an allergy or food intolerance, identify ways in which you can manage those symptoms and signpost you to further guidance and support.
How will the Allergy Screening Service help me?
With a member of the pharmacy team you’ll have two short, same-day consultations to:
Talk about your symptoms to understand if you need an inhaled allergy, food allergy or food intolerance test. If you do, a tiny blood sample will be taken from your finger so we can test against the most commons causes
Come back to talk about your results and how best to manage your symptoms
Allergies are very common in the UK, especially in children. Symptoms can range from sneezing and runny noses to a rash, bloating or even anaphylaxis. Whether inhaled (i.e. grass pollens), ingested (i.e. medicines) or an intolerance to food, it can make you feel pretty low.
Finding out the cause of your allergy or intolerance can be life-changing, as by avoiding the allergen or trigger could mean you could become symptom free.
