What is the NHS Online Prescription Service?

The NHS Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) allows GPs in England to send prescriptions directly to your Alphega Pharmacy. Simple, quick and hassle-free, there’s no need to go back to your GP for a repeat prescription again.

How will the Electronic Prescription Service help me?

Having your prescription ready at your Alphega Pharmacy without having to visit your GP means its ready for collection or delivery more quickly. You’ll no longer have to collect a paper repeat prescription from your GP practice, nor worry about which pharmacy to collect your medicines from.

Simply choose which Alphega Pharmacy you’d like your prescriptions to be sent to, contact a member of the pharmacy team or your GP surgery, ask them to set it as your nomination, and begin to collect your prescriptions as and when they’re ready.

Want to know more?

If you receive repeat prescriptions regularly, you’ll no longer need to keep visiting your GP to collect it. Instead it’ll automatically be sent to your Alphega Pharmacy of choice and be ready for you, when your repeat is due. The Electronic Prescription Service can be used for NHS repeat and one-off prescriptions in England only. It can’t be used for private, veterinary or any prescriptions produced outside of England.
